Hochzeiger in summer – "wonderfully walkable" . . .Hiking and excursion resort Hochzeiger from 1,450m to 2,450m above sea level
The gondolas take you in comfort from the Talstation (bottom lift station at 1,450m) to the Mittelstation Zeigerrestaurant (middle lift station at 2,000m) and, if weather permits, further up on a chair lift to the Sechszeiger Bergstation at 2,370m. Alternatively spare your knees by using the gondolas on your way back down as well. The Hochzeiger hiking resort offers a range of walking tours - from demanding to easy.
The hiking area was awarded the Tyrol Hiking Trail seal of quality (Bergwegegütesiegel)
Every year on the 15th of August we celebrate the "Mountain Festival" It marks the resort’s summer highlight for the whole family. Come and behold the famous "Almabtrieb" (always at the beginning of September) when the cows, horses and sheep return from their summer lives up on the mountains to the valley in a ceremonial procession. Together with the "Kirchtag" (Patron Saint Day) in Jerzens you have the chance to experience the living traditions of Pitztal!
